• 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, divided, softened
• 4 eggs, divided
• 1 1/3 cups milk, divided
• red food coloring
Vanilla Icing
• 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
• 2 1/2 tablespoons milk
• 1 teaspoon butter, melted
• 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
• 1/8 teaspoon salt
