Ingredients

FOR THE DOUGH –
  1. 4 1/2 teaspoons (2 packets) active dry yeast
  2. 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  3. 1/2 tablespoon red food coloring
  4. 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  5. 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  6. 1 egg, lightly beaten
  7. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  8. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  9. 3 to 4 cups Gold Medal unbleached all-purpose flour
FOR THE FILLING –
  1. 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  2. 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  3. 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  4. 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
FOR THE GLAZE –
  1. 4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  2. 1 cup powdered sugar
  3. 1/2 stick (4 tablespoons) unsalted butter, room temperature
  4. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
